- I joined the Art of Dance as a nervous student in April 2006. I was going through a bad time and decided I needed a confidence boost! I became very obsessed and put my first pole up in my sisters garage as I had moved in with her and her husband after losing my house. I practised up to 4/5 hours a week in the winter in the garage until I moved again to my Dad's who kindly let me put it up in my room! I started as Principal Instructor at Lux Park in Liskeard in November 2007 and although a big challenge have loved every minute of teaching! I enjoy encouraging and helping my students with their progress and find it rewarding to see them improve and gain the same confidence that I did as a student. I am very proud to be a part of the Art of Dance, pole dancing really has changed my life and I now have the best job in the world! Sam, Jo and Sue have all been an inspiration and I am grateful of their encouragment and support in the last 2 years, I am in awe of them all! The team is great and all the instructors are amazing dancers all with their own creative styles. I am looking forward to improving my own skills and all my lessons in the future!
